Paul Jost performs as featured singer as the Matthew Parrish Trio accompanies jazz saxophone legend Houston Person in this Jazz Night special. Jazz bassist, arranger, and composer Matthew Parrish is no stranger to the New York jazz scene. He frequently plays at jazz clubs and tours internationally. With decades of his life devote to the art of the jazz bass, Parrish also shares his experience by teaching and mentoring children and adults throughout the United States. All About Jazz magazine said of Paul Jost "Jost's boppish scatting bristles with the unmistakable energy of in-the-moment improvisation. Jost is an all-rounder; his gravely soul delivery can sound like a cross between singers Otis Redding and Pino Daniele, and he imbues singer John Sebastian's 'Daydream' with the Delta blues."
